Hey y'all! Today's Worship Wednesday topic is forgiveness.. probably seems very basic and kinda cheesy.
But it's something that should be greatly discussed. I'll be the first to tell you that forgiveness is hard. Probably one of the most difficult tasks that we, as Christians, are called to do.
Here are some of my favorite Bible verses about forgiveness:
Colossians 3:13 "Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you."
Ephesians 4:32 "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."
Luke 17:4 "Even if they sin against you seven times in a sad and seven times come back to you saying, 'I repent,' you must forgive them."
Notice how 2/3 of those say something about God forgives us for our sins? Yeah. Jesus DIED, so we all could be forgiven for our sins. He died for wayyyy more than one person. You can't seem to even make an effort to forgive ONE person. Kind of puts it in perspective, doesn't it?
Galatians 1:4 "who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father."
Forgiveness isn't easy, at all. But if you take it step by step, day by day, you'll get there. This a huge part of our journey to be more like Jesus.

Make a start; it won't happen if you don't make an effort!
