How to Stay Productive at Home!🦎🌞🌸

hey y'all!

i know that it's been really hard transitioning into online school, and it's almost over!!! but just in case you need some motivation to get through the last couple weeks- or you just need tips to make your days more productive and happy in general- here are some things i do to make my days 1000000x better!! :)

#1 W A K E U P E A R L Y

this one sucks for everyone at first (i'm a morning person for sure so getting up isn't hard for me) butttt something that helps whenever i'm tempted to hit snooze and roll over for another two hours, is thinking about the sunrise, and the fact that i'll have a couple more hours in my day to get things done!!! the sunrise is what helps most, to be up before the sun makes me feel so content & ready to take on the day ahead!

the sun shines through my blinds & radiates orange and yellow around my room, and it just has the best vibes.

so wake up before the sun, open your blinds, & prepare for an AMAZING day!!!!

this one is also a struggle for people like me who think drinking water is too much work, but lately i've been drinking a gallon of water everyday, and my body is starting to rely on water!! (which is a good thing no matter how annoying it is that now, in between every few sips of coffee i have to drink some water because i get dehydrated super fast now)

if you don't have a water bottle like this one, that marks the times, you can take any other water bottle, and see how many ounces it has. and a gallon of water is 128 ounces, so just divide 128 by however many ounces are in your water bottle, and that's how many of those bottles you should drink to get to a gallon!!

whatever you do, set GOALS! && hold yourself accountable FOR those goals!! you'll feel so good when at the end of the day you can say, "wow i actually did it" :)

eating a healthy breakfast is one of the best ways to start your day off great! putting healthy things- or semi healthy things- into your body in the morning is very important! can't have energy or brainpower to get all your stuff done with no food in your stomach!

these are a couple breakfasts i've had this week - plain yogurt with granola, and an omelet with strawberries on the side! most of the time i really like strawberries on top of the yogurt, but we didn't have any the day i took that picture haha. i try to incorporate some kind of fruit into my breakfast when i'm trying to be healthy- strawberries, grapes, and blueberries are my go-to's.

when i wake up & look around my room in the morning and i see a mess, i automatically feel unmotivated & not at all ready to get out of bed. a little bit of tidying up at night can really help you get out of bed in the morning.

when you wake up, don't you want to be able to walk around your room without tripping over clothes, or start doing school work or bible study without your desk being cluttered? no one wants to have to clean in the morning! so go ahead and get it done before bed! :)

okay this is definitely the MOST useful thing & i make one every single day!! it can be as simple as a sticky-note, piece of paper, OR having a specific planner that you write your to-do lists in. i use a super simple, un-dated planner for school related things (LEFT) and a separate planner that i actually just got, to incorporate my faith-related things that i do, and random chores & basically anything i want to do besides school!

there's just something about a candle that makes my space feel so cozy & productive! (literally don't care if it's even strong enough to smell) i just love the cozy vibes it brings to my room!

dollar tree sells candles, (they don't make your room smell like anything, obviously) butttt they bring that productive vibe to your room! AND they're cheap, which is a bigggg plus!

this is the MOST important thing to do when you're having a productive, happy day! GIVE YOURSELF BREAKS! text your friends, scroll through instagram, pinterest, go walk outside, play with your dogs, talk to your family, eat a healthy snack! BUT, you definitely need to avoid things that can grab onto your attention for long spans of time! maybe 15-30 minutes depending on what you've been busy with all day!

TAKE HEALTHY BREAKS, BUT DON'T LET THEM CONSUME YOUR WHOLE DAY!

today as i am editing this post, i'm sitting on the bench outside with a blanket, snuggling with my puppy :)

do things during breaks that make you feel happy & productive! :)

aaaaand that's it! i hope y'all enjoyed and maybe picked up a couple tips! these are just things that i do, but whatever works for you to make your days great, works fine! also, these things aren't just for days you have schoolwork, these things help me with chores i need to do, projects i'm working on, goals i have for my faith, and literally anything else that you do during a happy day!!

as usual, like this post & leave me any feedback! all of it helps ;) thank you for all of the love, wishing every single one of you a happy, productive day filled with the things & people that you love!♥︎
